“Plitwood” completes construction of birch plywood plant facilities

Plitwood LLC – a joint project of Cherepovets Plywood Mill JSC and Vologodskiye Lesopromyshlenniki Group JSC completed the construction of the buildings of the new plant for the production of wide-format plywood in the settlement of Vokhtoga, Gryazovetsky District, Vologda Region. The main financial partner was Sberbank PJSC. The Expert Council of the Industry Development Fund (VEB.RF Group) granted a preferential loan under the flagship program “Development Projects”. The total budget of the project is more than 12.5 billion rubles.

Active work on the construction site began in 2021. During this time, the main production shop, finished product warehouse, power center, hydrothermal treatment pool, fire extinguishing pump station, other auxiliary facilities and engineering networks have been erected.

More than 250 people from various contractors from Vologda, Yaroslavl, St. Petersburg and other regions are involved daily in the construction of the plywood plant. They continue to install all the necessary engineering networks.

The new plywood mill will create over 650 new jobs. Already today more than 70 employees are on the staff and a personnel reserve is being created. In addition, at the enterprise «Cherepovets Plywood and Furniture Mill», which has a license for educational activities, began training the second group of specialists who will work for Plitwood LLC.

The company has 4 logging companies, 2 sawmills, fuel pellets production, 2 wood chipboard/LDF and MDF/LDF plants jointly with ChPMK, and the largest birch plywood plant under construction.
